        Kerry leung

         

        Kerry Leung is a Chinese musician and a multiple instrumentalist. He plays Pipa, Erhu, Dizi, Xiao Flute and other traditional Chinese instruments. He performs, teaches, and even makes musical instruments. He has been performing with the Chinese Music Society of North America for the last three decades. Recent music performances here in Chicago include: a solo performance at the Chicago Chinese Museum and solo performance at the Morton Arboretum special event: Destination of Asia.

         

        TSUKASA TAIKO

         

        Tsukasa Taiko, a community program of Asian Improv aRts Midwest, one of the largest Midwest taiko groups, offers taiko drum instruction and performances. Its mission is to preserve, develop, and pass on the traditional concepts of Japanese art as a cultural legacy, and to utilize these concepts in expanding and evolving the taiko art. Its director, teachers, and administrative staff are dedicated professionals, recognized as world-class artists. As an active performing group, Tsukasa presents over fifty shows a year, locally and internationally.
