Yes! Career fair is always part of the National Conference. For National Conference 2020, we will be hosting a virtual career fair using the vFairs platform. There will be virtual booths where company representatives are there to answer your questions. The career fair will take place Saturday, October 17.

As a member of SASE, you will receive:

  • Discounted courses on valuable professional development topics such as improving the process communication, and leadership.
  • Networking opportunities with peers and senior level professionals across multiple Fortune 500 companies.
  • Opportunities to meet and join your local Collegiate or Professional chapter. Local chapters are an excellent way to meet other students and professionals, attend SASE Volunteering events, and become active with SASE more frequently.

You should attend the National Conference for three reasons:

  • Professional Development: The conference will feature a full day of workshops, panels and speakers all focused on the interests of Asian heritage students and professionals.
  • Career Opportunities and Jobs: The conference features a large number of employers who want to recruit and hire Asian heritage students and professionals.
  • Networking: Meet other Asian heritage students and professionals in a rich networking opportunity with a whole lot of fun.
  • And the best of all, you can attend SASE NC2020 at the comfort of your own space!

The National Conference is a once a year opportunity for Asian heritage students and professionals to come together for personal development and networking. It is also a chance for SASE members and conference attendees to speak with a large number of hiring employers, all at once. The conference is part of SASE’s mission, “helping prepare Asian heritage scientists and engineers for success in the global business world.”

Benefits of Conference Registrants:

  • Companies conduct resume reviews so you can get your resume critiqued and sharpened before the career fair.
  • Recruiters will be attending the conference. You will get to interact with them and network with them before the virtual career fair.
  • Over 100 company representatives will be participating in the conference, presenting workshops and sitting on panels. You get to learn more about potential employers and meet their representatives. Don't be a stranger and be sure to send them a message.

We will need volunteers to help with the virtual conference and we are always looking for volunteers. Please review the NC Volunteer Packet, you can find all of the information you need about volunteering online. We will have a sign up form very soon for volunteer callouts.

If you would like to volunteer for next year, be sure to visit the SASE Volunteering Booth at the virtual conference.
