Dr. Neil O'Reilly

Dr. Neil O'Reilly was born in Australia, grew up in England, and has lived in the US for 31 years. He has a BS in Chemistry and PhD in Organofluorine chemistry both from UMIST in UK. He also held research positions for one year at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, and two years at the University of Minnesota. Neil has worked in R&D, Licensing, and technical partnership for 13 years at Oxychem/Lyondell/Equistar, and 16 years at Engelhard /BASF. His technical areas are specialty organics, ethylene oxide, and polyolefins (polymers, process licensing, and catalyst R&D). For 26 years these responsibilities have involved extensive use of international collaborations with most regions (e.g. Russia, China, Japan, Korea, South America, Europe) and integration of those partnerships with internal R&D leading to a unique perspective on overcoming the challenges that can arise.
