Capes 4 Kids

Who are we (SASE) helping this year?

Capes 4 Kids is a volunteer based organization based in Dallas that provides hero capes to hospitalized children with long term illnesses and disabilities. The capes serve as a reminder to those superheroes that they can fight back and defeat their arch enemies. To learn more about this great organization, visit them at http://www.capes4kidsdfw.org/.

What are we doing to help Capes 4 Kids?

SASE has organized a point-based haiku competition separated by the 4 different SASE regions to help raise donations, produce capes and spread inspiring poems. The winning region will be highlighted during the National Conference dinner, and the chapter that contributes the most will also receive SASE swag. The competition is not limited to collegiate chapters, as professionals are also welcome to sign up, donate and submit their own haikus.

Where and when is this happening?

Before NC, haiku competition will take place (form is live, deadline is Sept. 26).
During NC, there will be an on-site (on Friday - 10/14/16) event with Capes4Kids.

Where can I find the rules/guidelines?
